I'd go with the 13 Energy Storage and 14 Fire Magic, because the Ether Renewal is bumped at 13. At 14, the only benefit is +3 total energy and +1 extra health on Ether Renewal. Might as well do some extra damage instead.

Hmm, you sure you really need Balth/Essence? I'm assuming they are fillers, but you could probably go with shield of absorption and/or Shielding Hands

Read the helm. 9+3+1 energy storage (for a total of 13) and 11+3 fire magic (14).

With the runes and a +20% enchantment mod, Ether Renewal still only lasts 21.6 seconds. In that time, I can get Essence Bond and Balthazar's Spirit started up for the 8.4 seconds Ether Renewal isn't active.

I know you posted both. I just gave my opinion on which of the two choices I would take. And why go 9 on one attribute and 11 on the other with the +4 on the 9? Just go with 10 and 10 so you can change armor at will without having to change attribute points.

I dare you to burn through 100+energy in 8.4 seconds :P
But seriously, theoretically if you subbed them both for enchantments you could maintain on yourself, you'd only end up really using energy casting Rodgort's (1 energy, whee). It's pretty much not possible to burn through 100 energy in 8.4 seconds in this build, and the energy would be quickly regained through the recasting of your enchantments.
I'm not saying you should do it, because Balth/Ess would be far be mentally easier to execute. Hell, if you wanted to, you could just sub one of them for Glyph of Swiftness to keep ER up longer and just buff Energy Storage up a bit.

Lose something for [glyph of swiftness] so [ether renewal] downtime is limited to [glyph of swiftness] + [ether renewal] cast time

Nothing in this thread says anything about Prophecies-only from what I can see...

Hmm, I might be missing something but.
Why would you use an elite in your 55 build to gain health and energy when: a) Aura of resto could have covered the health gain on when you cast spells if thats what you want, and b) energy when farming as 55 with both Balthazars Spirit and Essence bond should give far more energy than you need (with a decent sized group hitting you you will have gained the energy you used on your rodgorts invocation back before it has recharged anyway.
Also if you for some reason dont have enough energy with "only" balthazars spirit and essence bond, and therefor is unable to use your 2 damage abilitys when the recharge is up, then you still dont really gain that much by taking ether renewal since you have to gimp your Fire attribute and put em in E storage.
However as i said, i might have missed something :s
Tho Ether renewal actually seem like it could be nice when running with a 55 ele (on my ele ive ran myself a few places, even before lvl 20) since you can use your enchantments, even tho you dont get the constant energy gain from being hit.

I'm confused as to why you need Ether Renewal when you're gaining about 8 energy per second from Balthasar's Spirit and Essence Bond.
I would recommend something more like this:
[build prof=E/Mo fire=12+1+3 energy=2+3 prot=10 healing=8][phoenix][inferno][flame burst][protective spirit][healing breeze][mending][balthazar's spirit][essence bond][/build]
Just be sure to pull them against a wall so they don't run away.

My question is what exactly are you planning on farming with this?

Or maybe you don't see sarcasm xD.
It's hard to understand online and it's one of my favorite things to use.

In which case all I can say is you need to work on it - both the sarcasm and the build

See highlight. [Ether Renewal] is the way to spam skills. If you didn't need enchantments to power it, you could very well drop the maintained ones, but since they've been used for 55ing in the past, their choice for a 55 build is only natural. Besides, those maintained enchantments don't work so well for energy gain when mobs scatter or dwindle...

Or, to be more specific, anything a 55 can farm without [Spell Breaker]. Interrupts, knockdowns, massive degen and hexes will obviously destroy this build - but 55 didn't become famous for its ability to handle any of the above. Just walk into any relatively harmless mob (i.e. any melee mob that relies on pure damage) and farm to your heart's content

If this was about Proph only skills, which I'm not sure, I don't see it anywhere.... but anyway if it was, I would say [mark of rodgort][flame burst]and [shielding hands] or [aura of restoration].
But if it wasn't Proph only skills, which I'm not sure.... it would be [glyph of renewal][sliver armor][shield of absorption]
....but again... I'm not sure... are we talking proph only.... or not?

Prophe only skills or not, I'm not sure why you would need those (besides Glyph of Renewal and Silver Armor). Healing Breeze and Mending can take care of most 55ers, so why should a 55 ele bring them? And if you do bring them, and we weren't talking prophe only, why not just bring Stoneflesh Aura (which can be maintained forever)?
Mark of Rodgort + Flame Burst doesn't do enough damage, in my opinion. Rodgort's Invocation does more damage, and only costs 1 energy.
Of course, if we weren't talking prophe only, I'd bring Glyph of Swiftness and Rodgort's Invocation (and Ether Renewal).
